Wait….(A Story).

Sometimes ,if you have to wait for someone for a few minutes, it may seems like years, and if you have to wait for the remaining life then….

As soon as the smiling faced Roshni grew up, her family started looking for a boy for marriage… In those days, it was not considered right for girls to study too much, 19 year old 10th pass Roshni got married to 25 year old M.A pass Suraj. …She became the daughter-in-law of a well-established, big family… Well, how can one understand the meaning of relationships at such a young age… But within a few days, she became the favorite of her in-laws… from the eldest to the youngest of the house. He knew how to take care…perfect in every work….
Being the youngest daughter-in-law in the house… her brother-in-laws used to make fun of her… and Roshni used to smile and be happy about everything…

But Suraj was more pained by the fact that she was less educated. Roshni also came to know about this very quickly… but what could she do, a relationship was something that had to be maintained… she thought why not live happily… that is why she used to laugh off everything….

Earlier days, the elders always considered the qualities of a person more important than  education . They used to explain to Suraj from time to time that he should focus on the qualities of Roshni and not on studies…

But still life goes on like this…  Suraj and Roshni soon accepted each other, due to his laziness Suraj became dependent on Roshni for small things… With time they had two sons… Both the children grew up and started going to college….
Mother-in-law and father-in-law also left the body after completing the count of their breaths… Seeing the children growing up, Suraj and his two brothers built their own separate houses…
Now only his children and wife  stay  in this old house….

When will you give up your laziness…. As soon as Roshni woke up in the morning, She shouted….
Suraj, who shouted every morning for things now get changed , move towards calmness… Now Roshni had started becoming irritable due to being fed up with the habits of the children and their father… but still she as per her habit, had not forgotten to take care of others…she used to take full care of providing food, clothes etc. to everyone on time…

Now Suraj also tried to take more care of her but he could not give up his habit of being lazy.

Since both the sons were good at studies, they went to American University to study….
Now the Suraj and Roshni were left for each other… both had become a little sad… why not… after spending the whole life in a big family now they have to live alone, these middle class people do not like being alone….

Years passed… the sons found girls in America and got married and decided to stay there… They repeatedly told their parents to come to them, but Roshni, who was of old thoughts, always said that her dead body will move  from the old house …. it was a home of love and memories…for her.
Suraj had also retired from job today, now the work of getting up early in the morning to make tiffin is also over,
Now both of them would wake up comfortably and talk for hours.

Today you are looking very good in this saree… Suraj said while sipping tea…
Well, today you saw… 10 years old… saree… Roshni said in a tone of complaint…
Ok baba… now don’t fight… we spent 35 years of our life fighting, now no fights… Sorry… Suraj said while putting both his hands on Roshni’s ears….
Both of them laughed heartily…  after  many years, both of them laughed heartily.

Suraj folded his hands and apologized to Roshni for his behavior at the beginning of their marriage… and said how much you took care of me and my family… I will always be grateful to you…

Well, if you noticed everything then why did you never say it before… and what do you mean by my family, it was and is our family… Roshni said smiling a little….

One more thing, till date you have never made me wait… you used to run away at my call… and even today… Suraj stopped while saying this….

You used to make me wait so much…everything used to be equal…saying this Roshni hugged Suraj….
The eyes of both of them were filled with tears… they started enjoying tea while supporting each other.

Next morning…..Hey wake up, what happened are you sleeping for so long….Suraj called out to Roshni….
Today it seems that you want to act lazy like me… Suraj said while shaking Roshni’s hand….
But no reply came…
Roshni’s cold hand made Suraj’s heart beat faster..he got up with courage…as soon as he placed his hand on her mouth… Roshni’s
no breathing made Suraj numb….
She was gone…forever.
She had left behind… never ending clock of wait…now  no one will come at Suraj Call…..

This was just the story… Friends, we all have just few moments of life ,which we  should have to try to spend without any complaints… Who knows when someone may go away and we will be left behind waiting for his/her return…
